Perthshire Open Studios starts on the 4th of September and many of our Artisans are taking part! This is a unique opportunity to meet individual Artisans, often in their own studios, and support them after such a tough period of being unable to rely on their usual in-person events to help them meet potential customers.
Here’s the Artisans joining in the event and where you can find them:
Derek Allan — Derek is a jewellery designer and maker who works with silver and other precious and semi-precious metals and stones. He’ll be number 142 on the POS Red Route.
Jane Drysdale — Jane creates kiln-formed glass art in her garden studio under the name Barkley Glass. Her pieces can be functional or decorative. She’ll be number 96 on the Green Route.
Suzie Eggins — Suzie creates laser-cut jewellery, as well as prints, drawings and paintings with a modern aesthetic. She’s number 76 on the Blue Route.
Katy Galbraith — Katy makes mosaics out of recycled materials, including china and glass, and makes both decorative and functional items. Find her at 107 on the Green Route.
Andrea Gardiner — Andrea’s jewellery reflects her mixed Scottish and Mexican heritage. She’ll be at Perth Creative Exchange 2, which is number 75 on the Blue Route.
Izzy Gretton — Izzy makes quirky hats from recycled/reclaimed materials and natural Scottish gemstone jewellery with copper settings. Find her at number 133 on the Red Route.
Gillian Hunt — Gillian is an artist specialising in macro photography. She particularly loves to capture nature in the form of flowers and bees. She’ll be number 1 on the Lemon Route.
Dave Hunt — Dave is a fine art photographer with a passion for vintage and analogue photography. He uses film and the wet plate collodion process. Number 2 on the Lemon Route.
Andrew Hunter — Andrew is a painter in oils and watercolour. He also has prints, cards, mugs and tea towels available. Number 3 on the Lemon Route.
Karenina Johnson — Karenina is an artist who paints with oils and acrylics. She also occasionally includes mixed media and often adds a hint of gold leaf. She’ll be number 73 on the Blue Route.
Diana King — Diana creates jewellery using hand-cast resin and sliver. She’ll be demonstrating her work at The Bield, number 81 on the Green Route.
Annie McLean — Annie is a professional artist working in a variety of mediums under the name Ainetheon Arts. She’ll be number 15 on the Lemon Route.
Roberta Pederzoli — Roberta makes delicate and tactile jewellery that reflects her Italian heritage and current Scottish environment. She’ll be at Perth Creative Exchange 2, which is number 75 on the Blue Route.
Sheila Roberts — Sheila is a maker of soft-ground etchings, often featuring wildlife or nature, or sometimes reflecting her upbringing in Ghana. Number 101 on the Green Route.
Cornelia Wienmann — Cornelia designs and makes bold slow fashion garments that feature up-cycled materials. She’ll be at Cloots!, number 40 on the Lime Route.
Laura Woods — Laura makes sculptures using wire and repurposed materials. Her subjects often reflect her loves of both wildlife and fantasy. Find her at number 6 on the Lemon Route.
