    • Artisan Process

Claire’s designs are inspired by the animals she encounters on long walks around the Scottish countryside near her home in Perthshire.

She captures the cheeky characters and humorous expressions of her animal subjects through hand-drawn illustrations. Using digital design techniques Claire then develops her hand drawings into contemporary prints that are available across a range of cards and homewares.

Claire has a design series which features the comical Pink-footed Geese local to her area. Her designs within this series are titled ‘Erm...’, ‘Heads Up’, ‘Gaggle’, and ‘Farmyard’. The Farmyard design is exclusively available to the Perthshire Artisans.

Throughout the series, Claire uses a deep rose colour which is taken from the exact shade of pink found in the Geese. She compliments the rose with a soft beige and dashes of orange for a warm contemporary effect.

Tea towels and coasters are also available in this collection.
