Meet the Artisans during Perthshire Open Studios 2026

Several Perthshire Artisans are currently working to get ready to open their doors for the annual Perthshire Open Studios event which runs from 5-13 September 2026, and this post shares details of the 11 Artisans taking part to help you plan a day out.

It’s not simply about owning something beautiful or useful; it’s about knowing the hands, ideas and creative process behind it. This year why not visit some of the Perthshire Artisans taking part in Perthshire Open Studios from 5-13 September 2026, and discover that story for yourself.

Perthshire’s artists, makers and craftspeople once again open their studios and workspaces to visitors during Open Studios, inviting you to see where the magic happens. For the Perthshire Artisans taking part, it’s a chance to share their passion, demonstrate their techniques and talk about the inspiration behind their work.

Meeting the maker can completely change the way you see a handmade piece. You might discover how a material was chosen, how an idea developed, or just how much skill, patience and experimentation goes into creating something by hand. Whether you love ceramics, textiles, jewellery, woodwork, painting or another craft, visiting a studio gives you a deeper insight into how they create their beautiful work.

And then there’s the stunning Perthshire scenery to enjoy, from woodland and rivers to rolling hills and dramatic glens. A visit to a studio can be part of a wonderful day out: take a scenic drive, explore a village or town, stop for lunch or coffee, and enjoy the landscape between creative discoveries.
