Printmaker Sheila Roberts has her first solo exhibition 'Impressions of Summer', at Birnam Arts near Dunkeld from 2 August to 21 September.

Sheila creates intricate limited edition prints inspired by her love of nature, Scotland’s wildlife and in fabulous contrast, the power of Tribal Art.
Working from her Comrie based garden studio, Sheila’s designs are made through soft etchings using layers of techniques working with metal, acid, wax, paper and finally ink.
Creating pattern and texture through the use of found and natural materials of all kinds, Sheila’s technique is both complicated and fascinating involving many layers and stages, resulting in rich detailed prints. Each develops gradually, organically, with occasional unexpected, joyous discoveries. You’ll likely see something different each time you take a look.
Sheila's 'Impressions of Summer' solo exhibition is on at Birnam Arts - 2 August - 21 September in the upstairs gallery space, open from 10-4pm, and free to enjoy. As part of the exhibition programme, Sheila is running a print workshop on Saturday 23 August from 10-12, full details and how to book can be found on the Birnam Arts website.
Sheila's profile page and work can be found on her Artisans profile page.
It's a busy summer for Sheila, as several of her artworks will feature in our own Summer Exhibition, ASSEMBLE 2025, on at the Civic Hall, 2 High St, Perth from 9-17 August, open from 10-5pm. Sheila's third summer exhibition will be the Printmakers of Scotland 'Festival of Printmaking' at the University of Stirling from 15-17 August.
