Perthshire Artisan and award-winning traditionalist artist Charles Harris, will be staging a large painting exhibition in mid-May at The Abercairny Stables, Abercairny Estates near Crieff. Charles is a classically trained painter producing Scottish landscapes and portrait paintings and drawings.
This is the first exhibition of Charles’s work in Britain for a long time and follows the last exhibition and display of his works in Miami in January 2019.
Charles says: “I am very happy with this opportunity and this superb location, as it is perfect for showing traditional Scottish landscapes, and classical traditional portraits. And this exhibition will include new unseen local landscape works, from what may still be some of the most beautiful natural places in the world.”
The Exhibition will be held over two weekends, starting in the afternoons: 13th – 14th May and during the Abercairny Estates own Annual Open Days, 20th - 21st May.
This Show supports and provides opportunities for others to join in, including an art contest for the local primary school and a poetry reading by Walter Perrie, one of Scotland’s leading traditional Scots poets.
The school art will also be displayed in the spacious newly restored building, as well as staging the School Prize Giving during the formal Public Opening on the Sunday 14th May.
