Double Landscape Pod
The Landscapes Pods are part of a series of works which are formed from foraged materials from the various parts of Scotland which Georgia visits. They are time consuming to produce but she likes to think they capture a sense of place.
This layered pod is made with Sea Lettuce seaweed from the Scottish West coast ( specifically near Oban ) and cotton fibre, combined by using a traditional paper making technique.
The balls contained are made by processing foraged beech leaves from the woods near Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire.
Combined the two parts form a whole reflection of the central to western parts of the Scotland where Georgia spends most of her time.
