Lichen Landscape Pod
The lichen pod is part of a series of Landscape Pods made using foraged material from identifiable areas of Scotland which Georgia visits. They are time consuming to produce but she likes to think they capture a sense of place.
This piece is made from fallen lichen collected from woodland near Aberfeldy in Perthshire. The pods itself is waxed lichen paper and the ball inside is autumn beech leaves processed and formed into a ball, then sanded down to make an even surface.
The pod is presented in a wooded gift box which will protect it but can be also used for display.

Size - 110 x 110 x 110 mm including box
The product is made from natural materials and though it has been treated to protect it from UV harm it is better to keep it out of direct sunlight. It will also change gradually over time because of its natural ingredients.
