Lichen Landscape Pods - Pair
This pair of Landscape Pods is part of a series of work made using foraged materials which Georgia has collected from the areas of Scotland she spends most time in.
This pair is made using fallen lichen collected from the woodlands around Aberfeldy. The lichen is combined with cotton and formed into sheets, which is then moulded to create these pods. The work is time consuming but Georgia likes to feel it captures a sense of place.
The balls nestled inside are from using processed autumn beech leaves; moulded and sanded down to create a smoother surface.
The work is waxed and presented in a protective gift box which can also be used for display.
