Wasp Pod
The Wasp Pod is part of a series of 'landscape pods' which Georgia is making from foraged materials she finds as she travels around haunts in Scotland. This very special pod is made using a discarded wasp nest which Georgia found in a woodland near Oban.
Georgia considers wasps to be the king of all papermakers, which she feels puts her efforts to shame. However, she has created this piece as a homage to their work, incorporating parts of the nest in her own papery creation.
The ball nestled inside is made from dry materials found on the same woodland floor. All waxed and UV treated where possible, its is a delicate reflection on the wasps work.
