We were really excited and delighted for Perthshire Artisan Sheila Roberts, when she shared news that her etching print 'The Garden' is currently showing in the RSA Summer Exhibition in Edinburgh. This annual exhibition is the most extensive annual presentation of contemporary art and architecture in Scotland.
This is the second year that Sheila's work has been selected, last year her print 'The Pond' featured in the digital exhibition, this year at the RSA's 197th exhibition, Sheila's 'The Garden' etching can be seen both in person in Gallery 4 on the main floor at the RSA Galleries, The Mound, Edinburgh and also viewed online.
Being a selected artist for this exhibition was a fabulous surprise for Sheila who says:
"To have my work chosen and exhibited is beyond my wildest dreams and I'm so chuffed. This recognition has certainly given me a huge confidence boost in my ability as a printmaker and that other people want to own a piece of my work. The opening night was fantastic catching up with old friends and making a few new ones. There's so much to see in the exhibition, I'll have to go back again soon to take it all in."

The RSA Annual Exhibition provides a platform for contemporary painting, sculpture, film, printmaking, photography and installation, alongside work by some of the country’s leading architects. It is also an opportunity to purchase and collect artworks in a wide range of media and styles.
