The annual (and slightly earlier than usual) much loved Fortingall Art Exhibition opens this weekend on Saturday 12 July, and is open from 10-6 daily for two weeks until Sunday 27 July.

This prestigious creative annual event, held every summer since 2004 in the Highland Perthshire village of Fortingall, near Aberfeldy, was set up and is still run by local artists. You'll enjoy work from nine participating Perthshire Artisans and see a variety of work from 34 artists including paintings, jewellery, sculpture, ceramics, glass and bespoke furniture, all in this stunning rural setting.
Beyond the impressive artworks, visiting the beautiful Molteno Hall is always a delight. This unique venue is a rare example of an Arts and Crafts building in Perthshire. The historic village of Fortingall, renowned for its ancient yew tree and believed to be the oldest living tree in Europe, adds to the charm. For two special weeks each year, the annual art exhibition transforms this tranquil rural village into a wonderful day out, lying at the eastern end of the beautiful Glen Lyon, the area is a haven for walkers, wildlife lovers and photographers.
