Ash Hollow Form
A small hollow form in locally sourced Ash.
The piece of Ash chosen features the darker heartwood of the tree, known as Olive Ash as well as some figuring, a beautiful wavy pattern within the grain. The interior is painted in cyan blue and the exterior laquered and buffed.
Not suitable for use with fresh flowers.

Artisan Process
Chris combines traditional and modern techniques, working primarily with locally sourced wood, often windfallen when available. He uses carving and painting to add texture and colour, sometimes guided by the wood’s natural features, other times by a defined design or purpose.
