This bowl was made from my most prized piece of Walnut. It shows off the absolutely incredible beauty of this species, with dramatic colours and chatoyance from every angle.
A truly beautiful piece of wood, simply finished with a food safe wax making it suitable as a fruit display bowl.

Artisan Process
Chris combines traditional and modern techniques, working primarily with locally sourced wood, often windfallen when available. He uses carving and painting to add texture and colour, sometimes guided by the wood’s natural features, other times by a defined design or purpose.
