A segmented bowl made from Mahogany with a decorative inlay ring.
The bowl is made from multiple small wedges, arranged into rings and turned on a lathe into the final shape.
The interior is painted with a brass effect and the exterior has been carved and painted with a leaf motif.

Artisan Process
Chris combines traditional and modern techniques, working primarily with locally sourced wood, often windfallen when available. He uses carving and painting to add texture and colour, sometimes guided by the wood’s natural features, other times by a defined design or purpose.
