Orange Folklorico Earrings

Orange Folklorico Earrings

The Orange Folklorico Earrings are from the Folklorico Collection which is inspired by the dresses that are worn by the dancers in the traditional Mexican Folklorico dance. Andrea manipulates the polymer clay to portray a sense of movement and the orange represents the vibrant culture of Mexico. Each design is completely unique as no two are the same. They are statement earrings that add vibrancy to any outfit.

Andrea is a designer and maker of bespoke jewellery designs that are inspired by her mixed heritage of Scottish and Mexican.

She makes all of her work at her studio at Perth Creative Exchange, using Sterling Silver with alternative materials such as clay or leather and base metals such as copper and brass. The combination of materials represent the two different cultures in her life coming together.

She takes inspiration from different aspects of each culture and sketches designs that are continually developed until she is happy with the final design before soldering. She uses various techniques such as saw piercing, etching, oxidising, and many more before finally sanding and polishing to give a beautiful shine.

Andrea takes time to carefully wrap each of her orders, using recycable packaging, to give customers that special feeling when they open their item.
